Bannisters Pavilion

Margit Selg

I thought i would share a few of my favourite getaways as I have had a lot of requests about some of the places i have been visaing lately.

I believe to maintain a well balanced life we should take time out of our schedules even for a quick weekend stay at a wonderful location where we can spend time with family and experience the natural surroundings.

Recently we took time out to visit Bannisters Pavilion at Mollymook beach.
Fortunately or unfortunately as we decided to escape the city at last minute, all that was available was the penthouse and reluctantly i accepted (trust me it wasnt” hard). The Penthouse was so beautiful that we didn’t even want to leave the suite.. We arrived early but the staff were so helpful they got us into our suite within half an hour of arrival and just in time for lunch on the rooftop at Pavilion. Great place to relax, read a book and just spend some quality family time. They even still provide board games and dvd’s.
Whilst we were there as all visitors we decided to dine at Rick Steins. Some of the dishes were a true example of the flavours that Rick is famous for…. try the prawn and Eastern Rock Lobster Thermidor! Unfortunately, we were disappointed with some parts of the service but thankfully it did not spoil our overall experience.
Thank you Bannisters hotels for the perfect weekend :)

OCL giving back

Margit Selg

There’s nothing better than doing good things for others and giving back to our community.

Not only are you going to look and feel great in your fab new threads, for every garment we sell, we’re making a donation to the ones who need it the most.

For every children’s t shirt sold, we will donate $5 to the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation and for every men’s and women’s t shirt sold, we will donate $5 to the Pancare Foundation.

Margit experienced first-hand how pancreatic cancer can effect people’s lives directly and indirectly when her partners mother was diagnosed with this deadly disease. It inspired her to give back and try to be part of the development of a cure.

The Cure Brain Cancer Foundation is the leading organisation for brain cancer research, advocacy and awareness in Australia. Brain tumours are the most common form of solid tumours in children. Brain cancer kills more children in Australia than any other disease.

You can read more about both of these wonderful charities here:

OCL t-shirts are made with GOTS certified organic cotton

Margit Selg

All of our garments are 100% Australian made and owned, made with GOTS certified organic cotton.

A lot of people have asked me what does GOTS stand for. Well here it is ➡️ The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the world's leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, including ecological and social criteria, backed by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.

The aim of the standard is to define globally recognized requirements that ensure the organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing all the way to labeling in order to provide credible assurance to the end consumer.

Textile processors and manufacturers should be able to export their organic fabrics and garments with one certification accepted in all major markets.
